The slow cooker or crock pot is one of the greatest inventions known to man. With little or no effort, you can have a hot, delicious and nutritious meal whether you worked all day or were out running errands. With most slow cooker recipes, you cut and chop in the morning and turn on your crock pot to the required setting and let it simmer all day. When you and your family return home after a long and busy day you will have a delicious hot meal waiting for you.
To start off, we will work on some sandwiches. Just recently we covered the almighty "cheese steak" sandwich. For the game, you could make the cheese steak in advance and you could use mini sub rolls. stuff the rolls with the cheese steak and then wrap each one individually in foil and place in a 1/2 pan and place in a 250 degree oven. Your friends could just grab one whenever they are in the mood! Next, you could pig out (L.O.L) on my B.B.Q. slow cooked pork. again, this is great because you serve it out of the crock pot. This time you can get some of those little Hawaiian rolls or some potato rolls and make "Pulled pork sliders".
Prepare the smoker. Liberally oil the grate. Add hickory wood chunks to the hot coals, and try to keep the temperature around 220 to 230 degrees. Don't remove the lid of the smoker, as it will decrease the temperature and will take longer to cook.
Oh Red Molly, you do imperial ales justice. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by a burnt caramel flavor, which sounds unappetizing but in this craft beer, was quite appealing. The surprise was the hoppy aftertaste that really made slow cooker pulled pork it seem like my taste buds couldn't decide which flavor was more powerful. Literally, my mouth was confused which led to more and more sips. Soon enough, Red Molly was gone and it was time to focus on the new kid in town - Cherry Zoltar.

However, as I have said in the past, I'm always willing to pay more when it comes to convenience and this product was definitely convenient. It came with everything, including the vegetables and all we had to do was put it in the slow cooker with some water and let it cook while we did whatever we wanted to do. It was definitely a lot easier than washing the potatoes, cutting the onion, etc. It was as convenient as some of those frozen slow cooker dinners you can buy (which is what my wife was originally looking for). Only it is refrigerated rather than frozen.
The initial stage, a.k.a. the Help Me Man stage is the worst. There is no amount of booze, movies, sports, shopping, or traveling in the world that can accelerate this level of the breakup. It is slow and torturous and should not be rushed. Endure the late night phone calls, memory reminiscing, and their uncontrollable need to tie every conversation to their ex. A simple "uh-huh" and smile will aid one's success in this stage by 90% simply because one's buddy is not ready for any kind of feedback. Commentary will not be accepted until stage two and even then, only in a restricted nature.
When the meat reaches temperature, pull it off the smoker. Let it sit for about 45 minutes before pulling. Serve with your favorite bbq sauce and sides.
